With Father's Day on Sunday, brands have spent the week gushing over dads — a group now widely seen as an up-and-coming spending power as family mores shift.
Toyota Japan managed to stand out from the fray with a creatively crafted montage that follows the relationship between a father and his daughter as seen from each point of view.
The first half of the three-and-a-half minute spot is a collection of the dad's first-person memories of his daughter growing up through the years — or at least those of them that revolve around the family's Toyotas. One minute she is a crying toddler in a carseat, the next a door-slamming teenager, then finally a proud mom with a "Baby on Board" sticker plastered on her own mini-van. Read more...
