Legendary comedienne Anne Meara died at age 85 in Los Angeles on Saturday.
Anne was wife of fellow comic Jerry Stiller and the mother of Ben Stiller, and we cannot imagine what her entire family is going through at this time.
Ben and Jerry announced the tragic news on Sunday, but did not give details on what caused her death.
In a statement, the Emmy-nominated matriarch's family remembered her life, saying:
"Anne's memory lives on in the hearts of daughter Amy, son Ben, her grandchildren, her extended family and friends, and the millions she entertained as an actress, writer and comedienne."
We wish Anne's family nothing but the best as they cope with their loss.
