An Australian man is accused of doing the unthinkable — running off with his syndicate's Lotto win, worth more than A$16 million


Former courier driver, Gary Baron, received A$20 a week from 15 colleagues as part of an arrangement to purchase Tattslotto tickets in Geelong, Victoria. In a Powerball jackpot draw in October, the group believes they won A$16.6 million but that Baron ran off with the stash, according to The Age.



The Herald Sun reported the lottery owner Tatts Group has been summonsed to the Supreme Court in Victoria on May 28 by 14 members of the group, who want to know the name of the winner, how the ticket was purchased, how many tickets the man purchased and his account history.
