Sarah Palin announced directly on her Facebook that Bristol and Sgt. Dakota Meyer will not be tying the knot on May 23.

That's such a bummer, especially since the 24-year-old has been super excited about it on her Instagram page!

The former Alaskan governor wrote on her page:

So, just to get things straight, the two are totally fine (or so we think), they're just not getting hitched on the day they planned on getting married... but family and friends are still flying out to have fun anyway?

Hm, what an interesting turn of events!
